About United Assembly
A nonprofit organization dedicated to civic research, legislative development, and community empowerment.
Turning Issues Into Action
United Assembly was founded on a simple belief: that well-researched, clearly written model legislation can change lives. We work at the intersection of policy research, civic education, and community advocacy — developing public bill proposals that address the real challenges facing Americans today.
From our flagship Affordability Act to future initiatives spanning healthcare, civil rights, housing, and beyond, everything United Assembly produces is built to be used — by advocates, lawmakers, and communities working toward a more equitable future.
Our Work
Research & Development
We research issues thoroughly before developing any proposal, ensuring every bill we publish is grounded in evidence and real community need.
Publication & Advocacy
We publish all of our work openly, advocate for adoption, and support the people working to introduce our proposals at every level of government.
Education & Outreach
We partner with schools, community groups, and civic organizations to build awareness, educate the public, and create pathways for civic participation.
Structure & Governance
United Assembly is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a nonprofit organization, with a pending application for 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors and led by Officers including a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
